Rhavin Banda (he/him) is a British-Australian producer, director and photographer. He is of Sri Lankan, Malaysian and Punjabi descent, working between Sydney, London and Mexico City.
Stepping onto his first film set at age 15 in MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, he quickly became the youngest location scout and manager in Australia, cutting his teeth on projects such as THE INVISIBLE MAN, SHANG CHI and TALK TO ME.
Today, he is a frequent collaborator with Causeway Films and recently served as Associate Producer on their latest feature LEVITICUS (Official Selection — Sundance Film Festival 2026).
Rhavin is currently developing a black comedy-drama short film titled METH MONK, following the students at a Buddhist temple in rural NSW caught in a power struggle when their beloved head abbott is outed for smoking meth.
He’s also developing a range of feature, TV and documentary projects, including a psychedelic slasher set at a trance rave in the Australian bush, co-written with Will Suen (SWEET JUICES), and a feature documentary exploring the contemporary punk-rock subculture of Mexico City.
